The name of the Bashkirs, a Turkic people known for producing the highest quality varieties of honey, derives from the combination of the words "baş" meaning "main" or "mother" and "kırt" (from "bal") meaning "bee" or "honey". The Republic of Bashkortostan (RF) emphasizes this distinctive trait through a display of diverse honey types at the Culture House.
The Bashkortostan Culture House offers a traditional wedding experience through its exhibits of finely crafted silver and coral headdresses and jewelry for brides, silver belts for grooms, and handmade fox fur hats called “tumak,” showcasing the region’s expertise in embroidery and craftsmanship.

Adjacent to a special exhibit dedicated to the “7 Wonders of Bashkortostan,” there is a collection of panels featuring texts and illustrations from Mahmud al-Kashgari’s *Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk* dictionary, offering visitors a glimpse into life in 11th-century Bashkortostan.
